Lodato Lab

The Lodato Lab studies the rates, causes, and consequences of somatic mutations in the human brain and across the body. Somatic mutations are ultra-rare and thus difficult to study using traditional methods. Therefore, we use a variety of cutting-edge single-cell genomic and bioinformatic techniques to shed light on how these mosaic variants play a role in human development, aging, and disease.
